Welcome to Marldon C of E Primary School
A big thank you to Nicky Bailey for all her efforts in completing a HLF-Sharing Heritage Bid for money towards the proposed celebration events to mark 150 years of a school in Marldon village. Thanks also to the local history group, the church, Parish Council, Sarah Redheffer Memorial Fund, Village Hall for their supporting letters and pledges that have supported the bid.
Whether successful or not in the bid, we will still celebrate!
The events will take place between 22nd June and the 4th July.
Our aims are to collect and share memories of the school and to celebrate 150 years of learning.
Situated in the village of Marldon on the border of the South Hams Marldon C of E Primary School provides for children aged 4-11. The village has had a school which is proud to have been caring for and educating the children of Marldon for 150 years.
As a school community we aim to provide the highest quality of primary education within the context of a caring and supportive Christian ethos.
Marldon Primary School is part of the very successful 'United Schools Federation' (USF) and works closely with our partner schools within the federation who are:
St. Michael's C of E Nursery and Primary School, Kingsteignton
St. Catherine's C of E Nursery and Primary School, Heathfield
St. Mary's C of E Primary School, Brixton (Plymouth).
All of our schools work together in many different ways which increases the opportunities for every child within the USF.
'Aiming Higher, Achieveing More, Together'
As a school we strive to provide learning opportunities which go beyond the classroom to inspire and enthuse children to meet their full potential.
The school is both warm and welcoming and has a well established positive community ethos which involves children, parents, the church and the wider village community.
Our school motto is ...
Dream, Believe, Achieve
...which is a philosophy that underpins all that we do.
